Since 2008, BECU and the 天美影院Alumni Association have joined together to support our members, 天美影院students and alumni. This spring, we teamed up again to foster a deeper sense of connection across the whole 天美影院 community.
The partnership kicked off in March with our Spring Membership Drive, where BECU generously matched new and renewed memberships 鈥� contributing $50,000. These dues directly support a wide range of initiatives, from student scholarships to vibrant campus events and alumni programming.
Now in its 10th year, BECU鈥檚 2025 Spring Member Drive contributions bring the total support for 天美影院students and UWAA programming to $500,000. What an incredible milestone!
April brought Member Appreciation Month, a celebration of our dedicated members made extra special thanks to BECU. All month long, UWAA members were invited to 鈥淕ather, Play, Connect.鈥� Our members were treated to fun online games and giveaways, special access to discounted shopping experiences, nostalgic gatherings with their Husky community at the College Inn Pub, as well as various lecture events. Life members and BECU cardholders enjoyed additional perks made possible through BECU鈥檚 support.
In May, our collaboration continued with the Better Together Service Day with BECU. Now in its third year, this annual event brought our community together to make a meaningful impact in the University District. Volunteers helped beautify the Ave and took on new projects addressing food insecurity among students and residents. More than 100 volunteers cleaned up 465 pounds of litter, packed 200 toiletry kits for the 天美影院Food Pantry and served meals to 127 individuals at the People鈥檚 Breakfast. We also collected over 100 pounds of food to share with our service partners.
Our longstanding partnership with BECU, a member-driven credit union, is rooted in shared values 鈥� putting people and communities first. Time and time again, BECU鈥檚 commitment to building a stronger, more connected 天美影院community shines through, and we鈥檙e proud to work alongside them.
