Introduction to electrochemical energy conversion with emphasis on solid-state and gaseous reactants. Scope includes the basic chemistry and physics of electrochemical devices, including thermodynamics, kinetics, mass transfer, heat, work and efficiency, and experimental methods used to characterize them.
