The ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº has created and operated a Hazing Prevention Advisory Committee (HPAC) since the passage of Sam’s Law in March 2022. The purpose of the committee is to bring stakeholders across the university together to discuss, promote, and address hazing prevention.
State Legislation
The ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôº will develop and operate a hazing prevention committee to promote and address hazing prevention. The committee should compromise students, faculty/staff, and at least one parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the university. Half of the committee should comprise of students.Â
Hazing Prevention Advisory Committee
The Hazing Prevention Advisory Committee, appointed by Vice President of Student Life Denzil Suite, provides guidance and support for hazing prevention work at all ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôºcampuses and locations.
