The series on 鈥淭hings Your Mother Never Taught You,鈥 sponsored by the School of Medicine鈥檚 Office of Industry Relations and open to everyone, has scheduled a presentation on new National Institutes of Health policies that encourage sharing information and resources.

鈥淭he New NIH Sandbox: Sharing Data, Model Organisms and Research Tools鈥 will have a panel of four 天美影院experts speaking on the NIH policies and the 天美影院offices that can help researchers. The program is from noon to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, in room T-739 of the Health Sciences Building.

Topics include NIH rules on sharing raw data and submitted manuscripts, how the 天美影院Office of Invention Licensing can help distribute animal models, how the 天美影院Office of Digital Ventures can help create a laboratory plan for distribution and retention of data, and why the new policies are important to NIH and supported researchers.

Speakers are Dr. Susan Wray, director of industry relations for the School of Medicine; Dr. Charles Williams, director of digital ventures for 天美影院Tech Transfer; Dr. Paula Szoka, director of invention licensing for Tech Transfer; and Suzanne Page, director of industry agreements for the Office of Grants and Contracts.
