The Tall Ships Festival will be held in Tacoma’s Commencement Bay from June 30 to July 4, and Thad Koza, author, photographer and expert on tall ships, will give a lecture titled Tall Ships: The Fleet for 2005 twice at ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôºlocations during that time.
In his program, Koza — who has sailed on tall ships all over the world — will highlight the tall ships to be anchored in Tacoma’s Commencement Bay from June 20-July 6.
The lecture and photography program is presented by ÌìÃÀÓ°ÔºLibraries in partnership with the ÌìÃÀÓ°ÔºAlumni Association with support from the American Sail Training Association.
Koza will present his lecture at two locations:
- 7 p.m. June 14, 220 Odegaard.
- 7 p.m. June 15, ÌìÃÀÓ°ÔºTacoma Library’s Snoqualmie Room.
His photography exhibit will be on display from June 1 to July 9 at both locations. Admission to the lectures and photography exhibit is free, but registration for the lectures is required.
