Do you know of an outstanding female ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôºstudent, staff or faculty member who deserves recognition? Consider nominating her for Celebrating ÌìÃÀÓ°ÔºWomen.

Celebrating ÌìÃÀÓ°ÔºWomen, in its fifth year, is a program that gives the ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôºcommunity the opportunity to recognize the contributions of outstanding female students, staff and faculty members. Nominations come from all parts of our campus community, and many levels of contribution are worthy of recognition— from the very personal to the global.

To submit a nomination, send contact information (including name, address, phone number and email address) for yourself and the nominee, and a short essay (no more than 250 words) describing the nominee’s contributions to the ÌìÃÀÓ°Ôºcommunity, to ericab4@u.washington.edu by Feb. 19. Nominations are confidential, and all women nominated will be recognized.

The Celebrating ÌìÃÀÓ°ÔºWomen display and reception are held in March as part of Women’s History Month, allowing us to thank the women contributing to our community today as we reflect upon the contributions of women from our past. This year’s display, recognizing all women nominated, will be in the HUB Art Gallery from March 2-13. A reception honoring the nominees will be held March 12 in the HUB Art Gallery.
