Many of Cole Porter鈥檚 most infectious鈥攁nd enduring鈥攕ongs come from聽Anything Goes, including 鈥淒e-Lovely,鈥 鈥淚 Get a Kick Out of You,鈥 and, of course, 鈥淎nything Goes鈥. This giddy, salty, wisecracking musical-comedy will put a smile on your face and a tap in your toe.
Jerusalem Quartet

For nearly a quarter century, the Jerusalem Quartet has toured the world, earning rave reviews for its warm, full sound and precise balance of voices 鈥 a balance so finely tuned that The New York Times recently described聽the ensemble as 鈥渁 single instrument with 16 strings.鈥 They return to Meany Center with a program dominated by two of Bohemia鈥檚 cultural treasures, Jan谩膷ek and Dvo艡谩k, as well as a glimpse of young Beethoven, with the composer鈥檚 first quartet.
Feathers of Fire: A Persian Epic

Feathers of Fire tells the magical tale of starcrossed lovers Zaul and Rudabeh from the 10th-century Persian epic聽Shahnameh听(The Book of Kings). This all-ages adventure updates the classic shadow play traditions of Asia and the Near East with breathtaking cinematic 鈥渓ive animation,鈥 shadow-casting actors and puppets along with projected imagery. Featuring an original score by the acclaimed Iranian-American musical team, Loga Ramin Torkian & Azam Ali.
