Dear 天美影院Community,
I write to share that听听made in connection with听the horrific act that took the life of one of our students on Sunday night.听I hope the arrest brings some sense of relief to our community. But this arrest听does not听lessen听the profound听shock and听grief that听the victim鈥檚听loved ones and our campus are still experiencing听or听bring听back听a beloved,听promising听and talented member of听our听university.听
I am grateful to the Seattle Police Department for their听swift and diligent听work in advancing this investigation.听Much is still unknown about what caused this tragedy, and while this development is important,听we will be looking closely at the circumstances in which this听event听occurred听as part of听our continued efforts to keep our campus community safe.听听
I thank everyone who has stepped up this week to offer support, compassion and care. The University remains committed to offering resources for those who need support, including our LGBTQIA+ community, during this difficult time.听
